Latest update

I haven't been able to update my blog since I've been so busy with everything from the wedding, to my Physical Therapy licencing and my husbands INS paperworks. I was so overwhelmed with so much to do all at the same time. Well now it's all slowing down, but I still have wedding pictures to choose for the 2 albums, supplier ratings and my NPTE review. Plus I have a secret but I don't want to broadcast it until I'm 100 percent sure it's true.

An Invitation

Lately I've been so busy proof-reading the wedding invitation. It's so hard to get the perfect layout. I have to change it 3 times. I'm still waiting for the final proof QP still haven't sent it through email. I thought it would only take 2 weeks but the process of getting it just right has taken almost a month. I'm supposed to mail them out in November. Hopefully I'll meet my deadline. For the mean time I'm making my seals.

A Civil Ceremony

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Here comes the bride.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
We are gathered here to unite Nick and Ditas in marriage. They stand before me now in happy anticipation of their marriage, which I am about to perform. Although I perform this ceremony, you two will build the foundation for a lasting marraige,-- by forever building a loving relationship marked by care, cosideration and respect. Marriage is more than a commitment; it is a process, the endurance of which requires the capacity for change. You will be faced with many choices in your life together, decisions made together, and decisions made individually. Ultimately, it is upon these choices that the success of the marriage depends. By your presence here today, but most importantly, before one another, you demostrate your commitment to each other. May this moment when you pronounce the following vows, always shine in your hearts and memories
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Nick, will you take Ditas to be your wedded wife, to live together in the state of matrimony and will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, so long as you both shall live? I DO

I Nick, take you Ditas, to be my wedded wife from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness ans in health, to love and support you, as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow.

With this ring, with all that I am and all that I have. I pledge to you, my honor, my love, my devotion.

With this ring, with all that I am and all that I have. I pledge to you, my honor, my love, my devotion.
May your love be a safe haven, a source of warmth and comfort to each other, to your friends and family, and forever bring you close. In times of need and times of joy.
Under the authority vested in me by the State of Alaska, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
You may now kiss.

Two and a half weeks continued

May 17
Nick, his friends and I went to Loretto. He is a well known designer and who has had fashion shows around Manila. His shop was tastefully decorated with expensive artifacts from what looked like from South asia like Bali or India. There was an elaborate wall to wall mirror with Moraccan details. I was a little puzzled why there weren't any samples of his work. While I seated at his work table, he looked at me and started drawing the dress he has envisionsed. It looked really beautiful but I thought it wouldn't offset my deficiency in height. So he drew another gown with a princess cut and an elaborate beading at the back of the gown. It was my dream dress, but I really didn't know how the details of the beading was going to turn out since he just scribbled. He then took my measurements and we were scheduled to met again on Saturday for my corset fitting. Then off we went to have lunch at Jerry's on Macapagal Highway. Food there was really good. Nick went to my house since it was my little cousin's birthday who also happens to be one of my flower girls.

May 18
Today we had a meeting at Taal Vista for a food tasting. Nick brought along his friend Jay to help us critique. Here's what we had >
Everything tasted good except fot the assorted bread which was a little hard on the outside. Jay exceptionally loved the Thai chicken salad he almost ate the whole dish of it. Nick on the other hand liked the mashed potatoes and I liked the barbeque sapreribs the most. After our food tasting the events coordinator invited us to view the civil garden wedding that was scheduled for that day at the view deck. The reception was held around the swimming pool area. The wedding would have been nice had the couple, started on time, they were and hour late and it rained.Just to show how unpredictable the weather is in Tagaytay.

Today, it was just Nick and I who went to the divisoria. We looked around for swarovski beads and we found some at tutuban. Unfortunately they didn't have anymore pink 6mm beads so I just bought a dozen. We also went around looking at the made to order bridesmaid dresses. What a bargain 500 pesos for a bridesmaid dress. But of course for the price it lacked a good quality fabric. On our way home on the bus we fooled around and had a photo montage.

May 20
We just stayed home.
May 21
In the morning Nick, Wee and I went back to Loretto. I fitted the corset and Loretto told me to lose 10 pounds just so the fit would be even more sexy. My current waistline is 30 and he wants me to bring it down to 26. Wee inadvertantly suggested I get a lipo for my arms also since I would be wearing a tube. But 10 pounds is not so hard for me to lose. I've lost 10 ponds in 2 months with diet and exercise alone. No need for invasive procedures. For lunch we went to Dampa on Roxa Boulevard. We have such a hearty seafood meal I think my waist became 32. I love shrimp so much.
May 22
Nick and I went to church and after church had an arguement about his sister coming along for dinner since "Namamanhikan sila". His sister didn't want to go since she has church duties to attend to. All I said to him was she doens't have to go. then he went off saying "kahit kailan nakaka inis ka" I walked out and didn't ride with him home. Then I cried and I told him through text "Why would you want to marry someone whom you found irritating" Back and forth we text eachother nasty messages up to the point that if didn't come for dinner then it would all be over between us. My goodnes such drama. Later in the evening my mom and grandma was waiting outside for them. Despite everything he came with his family and they brought a whole lot of food. My mom was impressed her soon to be "balae" brought he some sweet lanzones, my mom's favorite fruit. After dinner Nick and I shared our plans for the wedding, we discussed who would be included in the entourage the outfits and wedding rings. The evening went well and it was as if Nick and I never fought that day. We were as sweet as ever.

May 23
In the morning I went over Nick's house he was still in bed feeling sad because the next day I was leaving. He held me tight and I couldn't help but cry. When I looked at his face he had tears streaming down his cheeks which made me cry even more. After our crying session we went to SM to shop our depression away. He bought a Girbaud shirt and I bought a bag with matching wallet. Our friend Jap accompanied us to dinner at the very high cholestrol Country Side. I had sizzling pork, Nick had sizzling chicken and Jap had sizzling pusit with crazy pill on the side.

May 24
I woke up at 6 and I haven't even packed yet. I threw everthing I needed in the suitcase and when my mom saw what I was doing she scolded me for not arrranging my suitcase properly. I left her in my room to arrange the suitcase herself while I took my shower. Nick and Jap came over had breakfast and we went to the airport after I bid everyone goodbye. All the way to the airport all I did was take pictures and video clips of Nick. It'll be a good six months ans one week before I see him again. Hay, parting is such sweet sorrow.

Two and a half weeks

I just couldn't let a year pass by without seeing my hubby to be. Missing him has become so unbearable. I bought a ticket on May one and left on the eighth 4 oclock in the morning.
May 8 Sunday
I took a cab from the airport since none of my family knew I was coming home. When I got home my grandma was at a birthday party and the only people there was our maid and my little cousin. When my grandma got home I hid and then yelled surprise, Happy Mother's day. She was very happy to see me. Nick on the other hand told me he was had his internship until the fourteenth so I was not expecting him. I too was surprised when he came to pick me up to have lunch at his house. All afternoon we just hung out at his place.
May 9 Monday
Nick and I went to the U.S. Embassy to follow up his visa. Unfortunately the lady said it was still under review. That sucks so bad. Later we met up with his older sister and had lunch at this chinese restaurant.

Then we walked around Robinson's manila looking for a tank top Nick wanted me to wear. I found a white one at dickies. We went home where our dog Ralph was so happy to see us he even smiled.

Later in the evening, we met up with Nick's new friends from school. We hung around the bar of Island Cove Sea Deck. After the bar closed we headed out to Hidden Tapsi and had breakfast at dawn.
May 10 Tuesday
I got a facial and went to the gym.
May 11 Wednesday
I went to school and got my PT education verification signed and sealed for my PT spplication to NY. Nick had make up duty at the ER so we met up at SM fro lunch. We did nothing but just walk around the mall like we usually do.
May 12 Thursday
We met with our wedding coordinator at Starbucks. She came on time and was really nice. She showed us some of the missalettes she has done for other weddings. Also a timeline OTD wedding preparations and list of essential items to use in the wedding. She also discussed how to scout wedding suppliers and how to adjust the wedding package we got. She even offered to come with us when we view the setup of the reception place on the 21st. After that Nick and I walked around Alabang Town Center and I bought another tank top. This time it was black.
May 13 Friday
Nick and I went to Shangrila to visit Wrap Shop. I couldn't find any box that interested me. So we went to Megamall. There's this shop called Simple Things I really like their stuff but I couldn't find a box that would coordinate well with my color motif. Then we went to The Wedding Library where I purchased pink glue sticks for my embosser. We went to QP where we saw an invitation that we both liked. Unfortunately is was too expensive at 125 pesos per invitation.
May 14 Saturday
Nick and I went to a local Coutier. He drew a sketch of a bridal gown for me. He even had me try on two of his gowns just to see how it would fit. Nick and I thought that was kindof awkward. We told him we'll think it over since his price was steep. Then he offered 15k. Dang that's a big ass price drop. We said thanks and left.

Nightmare of a Wedding

Last night I had a horrible wedding nightmare. It was worse than the nightmare I had last month when I dreamt Nick and I were in a room full of guest, packed like a can of sardines. We didn't have a coordinator and we forgot to dance our first dance together as husband an wife. Ohh this dream was worse because it was raining cats and dogs outside so they canceled the garden ceremony and my mom was bitching to continue the wedding at church. But my make up artist is no where to be found and my hair is all bushy and frizzy and I had a mole on my face like Nora Aunor and the arrhaes were missing. How bad can a wedding nightmare get?
